<\/li><li>If it\u2019s greyed out, then that app isn\u2019t connected to your domain yet.<\/li><li>If you see a <span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">red line underneath<\/span><\/span> an app &#8211; this is the main app or hero app connected to your <strong>root domain<\/strong><\/li><li>In this example, I\u2019m using GroovePages which is the main app I want connected to my <strong>root domain.<\/strong><\/li><li>If there is no underline, but it\u2019s activated with a color &#8211; that means that this app is connected to a <strong>subdomain<\/strong> of your domain.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"246\" src=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/domains-list-groove.cm-color-and-grey.jpg\" alt=\"domains-list-groove.cm-color-and-grey\" class=\"wp-image-3828\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/domains-list-groove.cm-color-and-grey.jpg 700w, https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/domains-list-groove.cm-color-and-grey-300x105.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-854c1364 gb-headline-text\"><strong>Adding a brand new domain and connecting it to GroovePages <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The reason why you want to connect it to GroovePages first is because logically you want to build your website or funnels on the root domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However if you only wish to build a blog on your root domain, then select GrooveBlog as your root domain and hero app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Click on the \u201cAdd a domain\u201d button<\/li><li><strong>Step 1: What kind of domain do you want to add?<\/strong><ul><li>We\u2019re going to select \u201cfull domain setup\u201d ( as it\u2019s recommended for brand new or unused domains)<\/li><li>Click next<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Enter in your domain name here &#8211; so that\u2019s <strong>yourdomainname.com<\/strong> and click next.<\/li><li>You\u2019re going to be given <strong>Groove\u2019s domain name servers<\/strong> here (which is outlined with a red box below)<\/li><li>Groove has given you instructions on how to add these name servers to your domain registry.<\/li><li>I purchase my domains at <a href=\"https:\/\/aimeevo.com\/porkbun\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Porkbun<\/strong><\/a>, yours could be namecheap, godaddy etc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Groove.cm-name-servers.jpg\" alt=\"Groove.cm-name-servers\" class=\"wp-image-3829\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Groove.cm-name-servers.jpg 700w, https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Groove.cm-name-servers-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lets login to <a href=\"https:\/\/aimeevo.com\/porkbun\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Porkbun<\/strong><\/a> since that\u2019s my domain provider, I click on details :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The section I want to edit is AUTHORITATIVE NAMESERVERS <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"328\" src=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/porkbun-name-servers.jpeg\" alt=\"porkbun-name-servers\" class=\"wp-image-3830\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/porkbun-name-servers.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/porkbun-name-servers-300x141.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>This is where you want to replace with Groove\u2019s domain name servers so I&#8217;m going to click on &#8220;edit&#8221;.<\/li><li>You want to head back to Groove, copy these name servers and paste it back into the name servers section in Porkbun or your domain name registry.<\/li><li>Each Groove name server is to be added on a separate line and press submit.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Adding-groove.cm-nameservers-on-domain-registry.jpg\" alt=\"Adding-groove.cm-nameservers-on-domain-registry\" class=\"wp-image-3831\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Adding-groove.cm-nameservers-on-domain-registry.jpg 700w, https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Adding-groove.cm-nameservers-on-domain-registry-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If your domain is with namecheap:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>You would login to Namecheap.<\/li><li>click on \u201cDomain\u2019s list\u201d and \u201cmanage\u201d<\/li><li>Click on the domains tab up top, head down to name servers and select \u201cCustom DNS\u201d<\/li><li>This section is where you want to enter in Groove\u2019s domain server here &#8211; domain server 1 &amp; domain server 2<\/li><li>Once you\u2019re done click on the check icon<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TIP:<\/strong> If you bought your domains at a place like Godaddy or any registry for example, all you need to do is just google \u201cupdate nameservers on Godaddy\u201d and you\u2019ll see the instructions on how to do this for your specific domain registry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Lets head back to grooves and click NEXT<\/li><li>Click on <strong>\u201cValidate DNS records\u201d<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Groove-cm-validate-name-servers.jpeg\" alt=\"Groove-cm-validate-name-servers\" class=\"wp-image-3833\" srcset=\"https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Groove-cm-validate-name-servers.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/groovefunnels.review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Groove-cm-validate-name-servers-300x169.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>You will need to validate your domain before you can select the groove app you want it associated to.<\/li><li>Once you validated your domain, there will be a yellow alert that tells you to check back in one hour.<\/li><li>After 1 hour, refresh browser again <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, &quot;Segoe UI&quot;, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, sans-serif;\">and head back to the &#8220;domains tab&#8221; <\/span><\/li><li>There will be a pink button that you will need to<span style=\"font-size: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, &quot;Segoe UI&quot;, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, sans-serif;\"> <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: inherit; <\/strong>and if you click on the drop down arrow, you can make your root domain to any of these apps.<ul><li>You can have your root domain, on GrooveSell, GrooveMember, GrooveBlog &#8211; but I would NOT select any of these apps and <strong>choose GroovePages<\/strong> because you want to build out your webpages and funnels on your root domain using GroovePages.<\/li><li>Click on the pink check button<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>You&#8217;re done and should see a red line under GroovePages app &#8211; that is the hero app that is connected to the root domain. <ul><li>Click on the check icon again<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>and you will be redirected to the DNS records ok<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Now this is important, domain registry RECORDs that is pointing your root domain to <\/strong>something else that\u2019s not grooves name servers, you <strong>would delete it using the bin icon here.<\/strong><\/li><li>I\u2019m not going to cover adding records like c names, TXT or MX records here but later on if your setting something up that requires you to add a record, you will click on this DNS button to add it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OK Now that we have selected GroovePages as the main app:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>you can see groovepages icon has an active color and a red line underneath it which is the hero app.<\/li><li>Click on <strong>Update<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-b480c5dd gb-headline-text\"><strong>Publishing Domain on GroovePages<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Open up a GroovePages website and <span style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, &quot;Segoe UI&quot;, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, sans-serif;\">head up to<\/span><strong style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, &quot;Segoe UI&quot;, Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, &quot;Helvetica Neue&quot;, sans-serif;\"> \u201cpublish\u201d,<\/strong> click on it.<\/li><li>Under <strong>hosting options<\/strong>:<ul><li>select <strong>\u201ccustom domain\u201d<\/strong><\/li><li>Select the domain you just aded<\/li><li>Select &#8220;Root domain&#8221;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Under \u201cpublish\u201d<\/strong>, hover over the <strong>website button<\/strong><\/li><li>Click on the cloud icon to <strong>publish the whole site<\/strong><\/li><li>Give it a few minutes to go live.<\/li><li><strong>To obtain your Domain URL:<\/strong><ul><li>Hover over the <strong>website button again<\/strong><\/li><li>Click on this <strong>link icon <\/strong>in the middle &#8211;
